Long Summary: 13 years student claimed an age discrimination with his university and US Department of Education because they rejected him to go abroad to finish his thesis. Official told he is too young and not safe to go outside, even though he is planning to take his mother with and achive two degrees by age 22. (55)
Reaction: I am surprised to see his talent. He is genius and got all the knowledge given from GOD and need extra care to fulfill his dream on his way. In My opinion, the University need to encourage and supprot him because he has not any restriction regardless of age and his mother is willling to travel with him. He is a gift from GOD. (64)

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I read about age discrimination. I understand this guy should feel frustrated, but we should follow the rules. Maybe, the Universiry should make an exception. Maybe, he is so smart, but a little inmature to deal with a bachelor's degree.
In my opinion, students like Colin are a good example to admire, but they need support such as adult advice after all he is a teenager.
Teenager?? He is only 13, he got knowledge only from books, but he does not have wisdom. I do not see a reason why he is upset. Colin should get a degree in The United States, and then look for famous universities like Oxford or Cambridge.
